Dyer Staff

Hello! My name is Angela Marzilli, and I am one of the consulting teachers in the program for Academically Gifted math students in South Portland. Although my office is at Dyer, I work with students and teachers in four other schools: Brown, Small, Mahoney, and Memorial. Before coming to South Portland I graduated from the University of Southern Maine and completed a teacher certification program at the University of New England. I have spent the last two years teaching gifted students at an elementary school in Poland. When I am not at school I enjoy being outdoors riding my bicycle, rock climbing, or kayaking. I spend my summers working as a counselor at a residential camp for girls in central Maine. An exciting story I have to share is a recent trip to Australia and the opportunity to snorkel on the Great Barrier Reef—twice! I’m looking forward to teaching in South Portland and very happy to be a part of such a wonderful school district.

Peg Dineen is employed as a full time counselor at Dyer Elementary School . Peg is also a Licensed Clinical Counselor who has worked as a school counselor for 14 years and has been in the field of education for 25 years. Her theoretical model utilizes the techniques of cognitive behavioral therapy as well as play therapy as it is a natural developmental form of communication for a child.

My name is Kristina Kelly but students know me as Ms. KiKi. I earned my Masters degree in Speech/Language Pathology from Florida State University in 1984. I worked for an outpatient rehabilitation facility in Palm Beach, Florida for five years after becoming professionally certified and licensed. There I was a member of a cleft palate team and developed language based preschool programs for at risk children in the public school system. I took time off to raise my own children and just sent my oldest off to college. I have worked for Child Development Services for the past three years. It is my privilege to support parents and teachers at Dyer Elementary in helping students to acquire the communication skills necessary to become confident learners.
