DYER FOURTH GRADERS VISIT AUGUSTA

We fourth graders toured the Maine State Museum last Thursday. We had the opportunity to sit in the seats in the House of Representatives and learn how a law is passed. We also visited the Senate. After, we traveled on to the Blaine House where our Governor, John Baldacci, lives and learned a little bit of history about the Blaine House. After lunch we visited Fort Western and learned what life was like in the 1790’s. Thank you to our PTA who funded this annual fourth grade field trip.

My name is Jamie Cluchey and I am very excited to be joining the Dyer community’s Grade 4 Team. Last year I taught at Brown School and am looking forward to another great year in South Portland!

I graduated from Mount Holyoke College in Massachusetts, majoring in Experiential Education. After taking a year off, I returned to school to receive my Masters in Elementary Education from Brown University.
