Our young student authors deserve to be published and as we celebrate their writings, we inspire them to consider the power of the written word. Writing, as with all fundamental literacy skills, develops over time and changes as the voice of our young writers begins to emerge. Our district has endorsed the Six Traits Model for Writing Instruction and Assessment and that model emphasizes development of ideas, organization, sentence fluency, voice, word choice and conventions. We hope you enjoy reading the works of our authors!
